Dentures

If you have lost teeth, Dr. Cynthia A. Landry may recommend a denture to replace the teeth and restore your confident smile. Dentures are removable oral appliances, and work to replace multiple teeth within your mouth. Dentures may be used for both the upper and lower dental arches. Depending on your individual needs, our experienced Dentist may recommend either full or partial dentures.

Full dentures are used to replace an entire dental arch. Partial dentures, on the other hand, are recommended when you still have some healthy teeth remaining in your mouth. Partial dentures usually include a framework or clasps which attach to the remaining natural teeth to secure your appliance.

Your dentures are custom-designed for your mouth. Each time you visit our office for a dental exam, our Dentist will also check your dentures to ensure that they continue to fit and function correctly. You may periodically need to have some maintenance performed on your appliance, such as a denture rebasing, denture relining or other repairs. We will also provide you with instructions on how to keep your denture clean and in good condition.

If your denture breaks, please contact our office immediately and make arrangements to meet with our Dentist, Do not try to fix the damage on your own, as it may make things worse. We also encourage you to contact our office if you notice a change in the fit of your denture or experience pain or discomfort while wearing it.
