When you visit our office for your dental cleaning and exam, our Dentist and hygienist will:
- Thoroughly clean your teeth. This removes plaque and tartar, and helps prevent harmful bacteria from colonizing in your mouth.
- Floss between your teeth.
- Polish your teeth.
- Examine your entire mouth for signs of any damaging dental conditions, such as tooth decay, periodontal disease and oral cancer.
- Take any necessary X-rays to further evaluate your oral health.
We may recommend that you visit our office more frequently if you are diagnosed with periodontal disease or another condition that requires additional treatment.
